Located in Toronto, the Textile Museum of Canada offers a variety of video demos, recorded workshops (huge series on sustainability in textiles), and education guides linked to various exhibits.

Free to try, SketchUp is a browser-based 3D modelling program with a focus on architectural design. It has a bit of a learning curve!
