Overall Rating: 8/10
Bird Box describes a words where "creatures" prey on humans and through connecting with sight can cause humans to go mad and take their own lives. A small community of survivors find safety together in a house and try to survive in the new world without the ability to see.
I enjoyed the alternating points of view of the protagonist Malorie from the present day to the past when the world changed. I didn't like that I had watched the movie first, not knowing it was a book. I kept making notes in my head of the differences between the book and movie and I don't like that when I am reading a book.
I recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind apocalyptic type stories and isn't afraid of the gory scenes described.
