Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson

Bridge to Terabithia is a story of fifth grade best friends, Jess and Leslie. Leslie is the new girl in town and Jess is the only boy in a family of sisters. The two connect and escape the boredom of their home lives to go on adventures across the stream in the make believe land of Terabithia. Leslie's outgoing nature helps ease Jess' shy and anxious nature. Tragedy occurs and Jess learns to move on thanks to his friendship with Leslie.

I liked that this book emphasized the importance of friendship. I did not enjoy reading about the parts with sadness and tragedy.

I would recommend this book to anyone.
