When a virus wipes out 98% of America's children, the ones left behind develop strange powers. Scared of their new abilities, the government sorts them by danger then houses the leftover children in "rehabilitation camps" that are little more than prisons. Ruby is one of these kids, and her powers are more dangerous than most.

I read this book when I was in high school, so I have a lot of nostalgia for it. I really liked how it still held up decently well over the years. It has lots of action and the characters are vivid. Keep in mind, there are a lot of settings in the book. I didn't really like how much it moved around and it moved the plot in a weird way.

I would recommend this book to anyone that's read books like The Hunger Games or Divergent. It's good dystopia fiction.
