The Golden Compass

The Golden Compass is a fantasy adventure about a young orphan girl with abilities she doesn't know she has. Lyra is allowed to run around making mischief in the school she has been dropped off at. A surprise visit from an elegant lady changes her life, and she's off on a great adventure. Along the way she makes very interesting friends who help her in her quest to find her "uncle."

This book is a good addition to our library, and I recommend it to fantasy story lovers.
