The Maid is a murder-mystery novel centering on the life of Molly Grey, a maid on the autism spectrum, who loves cleanliness and routine. Her enjoyable life in the shadows - always in the background and easily forgotten - is suddenly thrust into the spotlight when she finds the body of billionaire Mr. Black.
This novel held my attention all the way to the end. Such is the staple trope of the genre, The Maid keeps you guessing! It is a true 'whodunnit' through and through. On the other hand, a lot of the book is told through flash-backs. I don't mind those, but it can be a bit jarring as there's never any warning for them. Also, just to nit-pick, I didn't love the choice of killer.
Overall, I'd recommend this book to anyone that loves to solve a mystery!
